Hola.

Jade Kessler: I am a rising junior at Duke University pursuing a double major in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science. I speak English, French and German and love to explore different cultures. At Duke, I am an active member of Duke Engineers for International Development, former Engineers Without Borders, Duke's Swing Dance Club and serve as the vice president of technology on the executive board of Duke Venture Forward. Due to my strong interest in renewable energy I have also been doing research on solar-powered water desalination, as an independent study. I spent last summer in New York, studying Mathematics at Columbia University. This summer, I'll be spending two months in Nicaragua, doing micro-business and finance consulting and learning Spanish through Duke Engage. I enjoy horseback riding, skiing, singing, acting, dancing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
